About Petals & Poison

Born from a love of gothic romance and Victorian elegance, our creations are crafted as “Nu Antiques.” Each piece is thoughtfully designed to honor the beauty of nostalgia and embody a legacy meant to endure for generations.

By supporting our brand, you become part of a timeless story—a collective that cherishes artistry, history, and the splendor of heirlooms reimagined. Together, we honor the beauty of the past while crafting something extraordinary for the future.

Eternally Yours,

Petals & Poison

BRAND ETHOS:

Petals & Poison is a proudly AAPI female-owned business, led by Jená Bhone from Orange County, California. By supporting us, you’re backing women entrepreneurs and helping pave the way for future generations of women.

Our designs originate in Orange County and come to life through collaborations with talented artists and friends like Chloe Tersigni (@chloetersigni) and Liz Nguyen (@pandoraslocket), alongside an exceptional manufacturing team in Jiangyin, China. We are proud to work with a manufacturer that holds both WRAP GOLD and BSCI certifications, ensuring the highest ethical standards.

We are committed to size inclusivity, offering designs that cater to a broad spectrum of body types, from small to large. Our dedication to cultural diversity is evident in our team and partnerships, which include Jená Bhone, who is half Filipino and half White American, as well as our Chinese partners and seamstresses.

SUSTAINABILITY & PRODUCTION:

Petals & Poison is focused on reducing waste by producing limited runs and pre-selling our fashion pieces, ensuring each garment finds a forever home where it can be “loved to death”. With small production batches—some as limited as 10 pieces—our items often sell out quickly, encouraging prompt shopping from our dedicated fans.

While we are committed to environmental responsibility and our initial collection is nearly fully sustainable, Petals & Poison isn't 100% sustainable due to the planned use of satin, cotton blends, and certain synthetic fabrics. We are actively exploring eco-friendly practices and welcome suggestions from our followers. The environmental impact of fabrics is not black and white. Every fabric has an environmental impact, unless it’s vintage, so it’s difficult to completely avoid. With this in mind, we encourage you to learn more about different materials and their effects on our planet.  We believe that collective consumer pressure can drive advancements in sustainability and make eco-friendly options more affordable. As we grow, and with your support, we can join forces to encourage manufacturers to embrace better practices, making sustainable options more accessible and affordable. We are committed to shaping this as the future.
